LADIES' AFTERNOON CLUB: Eighteen members attended the September meeting to hear Ros Hudson give a talk about Model Houses. She described her hobby of making detailed small-scale models in wood of houses of architectural interest, mostly situated in Bath, and showed the members a number of models she had made. CONCERT SUCCESS: The concert, Classical Cabaret, given in the village hall last Thursday evening in aid of the appeal fund, was well attended. Talented violinist Beverley Davison, who studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and started her career as a classical musician, has now developed her own individual style of presentation and the result is a programme of classical works to which are added jazz, folk and hits from famous shows, all offered with a sprinkling of lively but gentle humour.
