Dame Kiri helps raise cash

DAME Kiri Te Kanawa is coming to Cheltenham to appear in a fund-raising concert this summer. The concert will be raising money for the Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC), following on from last year's special concert which featured Jose Carreras and Bryn Terfel. The gala concert will again be staged at Cheltenham Raceco-urse's Centaur Building on July 2. POLICE are looking for more information after a daytime burglary at a house in Banbrook Road, Salford Priors. A back door was forced, all rooms inside were searched, and it is believed silver jewellery and ornaments were stolen. Police have started house-to-house inquiries and no value has been given for the stolen items. The burglary took place on Tuesday, January 11.
