Host of Easter fun for young and old

THERE'S bunny and Easter egg hunts, there's fairy tales, bonnet parades, colouring competitions, splash sessions and fun galore for children in and around the Vale, the Cotswolds and Stratford over the holidays.

On Easter Saturday there's a magical tale on at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham on Easter Saturday all about Charlotte the Spider's Web.

There's loads to do at Croombe Park near Pershore with activities for children on Easter Sunday and Monday. Each day from 10am to 5.30pm activities include an Easter Bonnet parade, an egg trail, and colouring competition

Over at Charlecote Park near Stratford several fun activities are being organised. Children can have a go at making Easter bonnets and bunnies today and Monday or join the Chocolate Easter Trail on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be an Easter Activities session at £2 a child on Monday.

Farther afield Eastnor Castle near Ledbury is organising a treasure hunt on Easter Sunday April 11 and Bank Holiday Monday on April 12. From 11am children will be invited to follow clues and look out for the elusive Eastnor Easter bunnies with the help of Wizard Wonky and his team of rabbit helpers. Free chocolate bunnies will be given to every participating child.

At Evesham and Pershore Leisure Centres there are plenty of fun and games organised after Easter Monday until the children go back to school. Activities for eight to 15 year olds include basketball, splash sessions, football, cricket and hockey with a daily fee.

A funky felt making creative workshop for little hands is being organised at the Roses Theatre annexe in Barton Street, Tewkesbury from 10am to 4pm next Tuesday.

If all this is too much, grown ups also have loads to do all over the districts. Some of them include a Farmer's Market in Pershore on Easter Monday from 10am, and a coach tour of springtime beauty which run from Broadway to Evesham on April 14. On Easter Day, Daylesford Organic Farm Shop near Moreton is holding a special family day, the highlight of which will be a traditional Easter egg hunt.

Daylesford Organic Farm Shop and Cafe is open from 10am to 5pm.
