Art graduates put on show

From the archive, first published Friday 7th Nov 2003.

WORKS of art from cushions to tiaras are on display at the Barry Jackson Room in Malvern.

Six graduates in art and design from University College Worcester have combined their very different styles in an exhibition entitled Bizzarte.

The works on display ranges from striking oil paintings and ceramics in reds and yellows, through to delicate beaded textiles in shades of pastel and ivory.

The artists, who all live in Worcestershire, are Alexandra Gordon, Lynne Goodwin, Judith Clarke, Rachel Pritchard, Nicky Hall and Patricia Tromans.

Alexandra Gordon, who specialises in fine art and has been exhibiting work since 1993, said: "Lynne and I have known each other for a while but we met our other friends at college in Worcester. This is the first time we have all exhibited together and it's going extremely well."

The exhibition, at the Grange Road venue, runs until tomorrow (Saturday) and is open from 10am to 5pm.
