A NEW after-school club will open in Kidderminster after half term thanks to a grant of more than £25,000.
The Oldington and Foley Park Community Network has secured three years' funding to run the club, which will have places for 20 children, at its community centre in Dowles Road.
It will be open to five to 12-year-olds in the Oldington, Foley Park and Sutton Park areas. A minibus collection service will be available for Birchen Coppice first and middle schools as well as Sutton Park and Foley Park first schools.
Pupils at these schools will get priority for the club.
The £25,500 cash influx has come through the Early Years and Childcare Service from the New Opportunities Fund.
The club will be run from 3pm until 6pm Monday to Friday during term time only.
