July takes two of the area's top rock bands to Worcester for gigs at the prestigious Marr's Bar.
Next Monday Mind Fracture, formerly Matrix, take to the stage.
The line-up includes new bass player, Chris Rouse and drummer Geoff Urch as well as known favourites Max Ward and Nathan Evans but the sound is still inexcusably heavy, described by the band as "fresh yet destructive metal through to mainstream rock'"
With a demo CD under their belt, Mind Fracture are busy writing material and are due back in the studio this summer recording their first album which they describe as refreshingly different.
On July 8, Huron headline with their infectious blend of original rock music.
Lead singer Stuart Lister feels that he band don't perform enough in Worcester and want to make amends.
Bass player Mike Fordham would also like to perform more locally but says there are not sufficient venues to support working bands playing original music.
Lead guitarist James Flanders knows that if the band are to be noticed they have to continue to play the London Camden Town circuit on a regular basis but "local gigs are more rewarding".
Drummer Giles Hodges prefers to play local gigs as, he says, the crowds are much more enthusiastic and supportive.
